If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one. We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

A day before our short trip..

One week before the Batam trip, we started raising funds for getting stationeries for the children. Look at the amount of stationeries we bought! We packed them equally into 100 bags for easier distribution to the kids.

Here are some of the pictures we took when we were at the childcare. These are pictures of the kids singing ‘thank you’ songs for us.

It was a tiring and fulfilling day. Our entire Porcelain Team enjoyed ourselves and in return, we bring back their warming smiles.

Hi everyone,

It’s Porcelain’s Birthday Month and we would like to celebrate by giving back to the society.

We will be collecting clothing in good condition to be donated to SCWO for them to raise funds and will also be providing them with workshops as well.

SCWO has a few initiatives, but  Porcelain will be working with them mainly on two initiatives:

1. SCWO’s Star Shelter – aims to provide a safe temporary refuge for women and their children who are victims of family violence. Porcelain will be working with SCWO by giving these victims workshops and empower them to manage and take responsibility for their lives, as well as assist them in rebuilding their lives free from violence.

2. SCWO’s New2U Thrift Shop – Managed entirely by volunteers, the shop sells pre-loved clothing, bric-a-brac, books and electrical appliances. All goods are donated, and prices start from S$1.00.

We will be collecting donations to be contributed to the thrift shop. We have already urged our customers to join us in this donation drive and would like your involvement as well! You can either bring down your clothing which you hope to donate down to Porcelain, The Face Spa, or you could visit http://www.scwo.org.sg/ for more information.

On top of working with SCWO, we will also be donating clothing, books, and stationery for children at a Child Care Centre in Batam. The Porcelain team is heading there for a corporate retreat from 10th-12th July, and we will be visiting them and bringing these donations to them.

As a small company, we may not be able to provide substantial financial aid, but we hope to take baby steps in making someone’s life better.
